MALAYSIA IMTIAZ HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE 54 AL-QURAN MEMORIZERS
Kuala Lumpur, 8 Shafar 1436/1 December 2014 (MINA) – Imtiaz Ulul Albab High School, Melaka, Malaysia, graduated 54 students, in Imtiaz Complex, Lot 1503, Bt. 21 Empang Batu, Durian Daun, Masjid Tanah, Melaka, Malaysia Sunday afternoon Nov. 30.
The students successfully completed their memorizing of Al-Quran within three months from September to November 2014.
“There is no greater gratitude than to see the students who memorized Al-Quran, this is incredible blessing as a heavy rain soaked the earth,” said Founder SM Imtiaz Dato Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid bin Hamidi.
According to Dato Zahid Hamidi, who is also the Minister of Home Affairs of Malaysia, Al-Quran memorizing was main program of the school, besides encyclopedic and ijtihadic, which summarizes the balance between life in the world and in the hereafter.
With the programs like these, Insya Allah we will produce the next generation of Muslims who have religious, spiritual and physical power in facing globalization era, he said.
“Birth of Al-Qur’an memorizers is an important asset in the development of a country and the development of Islam,” he added.
Malaka Imtiaz High School Chairman, Encik Azharizan bin Yacoob said Hafaz Aqso Program 2014 is a form of cooperation between Imtiaz Melaka, Malaysia and Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school Lampung, Indonesia. They have been cooperating since February 9, 2013.
The first Hafaz Aqsha program has graduated 21 Al-Quran memorizers of 30 participants within three months from March to May 2013. The Hafaz Aqso program 2014 brought teachers of Al-Quran memorizing from Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school, Muhajirun, Natar, Lampung, Indonesia.
While Hafaz Aqsho program II from September to November 2014, graduated 54 Al-Qur’an memorizers of 59 students who participated in the program.
Committee of Generasi Gemilang Foundation (Y2G) Ulul Albab Center of Excellence, Datuk Hisham bin Abd Majid said, through the Hafaz Aqso Program, the students were not only introduced to memorize the 30 chapters of Al-Qur’an, but also to explore and understand the contents of the Al-Qur’an.
“We believe the program will produce a Muslim generation who have good conduct, academic ability, and have ulul albab insight,” he said.
“With the foundation of the Al-Qur’an, we hope that it will produce the Muslim scientists who steadily hold the Al-Qur’an, master a various disciplines of knowledge, and be able to handle all the people problems with innovative and creative to reach the glory of Islam”, he said.
Al-Fatah Cooperation
Hafaz Aqsho program accelerated Al-Qur’an memorizing by Tajul Waqar method. Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school obtained the method from Ma’had Tahfidz Al-Qur’an Daar Al-Quranul Karim was Sunnah Gaza, Palestine since 2012.
Tajul Waqar means Crown of Glory. It is an accelerating program such as crash program of Islamic boarding school for 1-2 months in the holiday season. It is a special short program for memorizing the Al-Qur’an.
The program is regularly held in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, during the school holidays. Ten of thousands of children and adults graduate each year. The program is led by Sheikh Dr. Abdurrahman Yusuf Al-Jamal Al-Hafiz, who has historic record about Al-Qur’an memorizing to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH.
A short program was first introduced outside of Palestine at Al-Fatah Islamic boarding school, Muhajirun, Negararatu, Natar, South Lampung, in 2012.
Furthermore, the program will be developed at the all Al-Fatah Islamic boarding schools in regions of Indonesia and in other educational institutions in Indonesia and Malaysia.
