Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) is a news agency that operates in three languages—Indonesian, Arabic, and English—with its official website at minanews.net. MINA has been verified by the Indonesian Press Council, and most of its journalists hold the Journalist Competency Certification (UKW).

MINA was established by three major institutions: Jaringan Pesantren Al-Fatah Indonesia, the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C), and Radio Silaturahim (RASIL). The agency was initiated by four prominent figures: Muhyiddin Hamidy (1933–2014), Joserizal Jurnalis SPOT (1963–2020), Faried Thalib, and Abdurrahman Sony Sugema, MBA (1965–2016).

MINA held its soft launch on Eid al-Adha, Friday, 10 Dzulhijjah 1434 H / October 26, 2012, at At-Taqwa Mosque, Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School in Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java, officiated by Muhyiddin Hamidy. Later, on December 18, 2012, MINA was officially launched by the Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Marzuki Alie, together with MINA’s Chief Leader, Muhyiddin Hamidy, at Al-Azhar Mosque, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta.

Since its establishment, MINA has received support from many senior Indonesian journalists. Its presence is intended to provide objective and accurate information about the Muslim world, with a particular focus on issues such as the Palestinian struggle and the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which are often marginalized in international media.

With the spirit of spreading mercy to all humanity, MINA adopts Qur’an Surah Al-Anbiya (21:107) as its philosophical foundation: “We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a mercy to all the worlds.”

MINA’s vision is to become a trusted mass media outlet that reflects Islamic values as a mercy to all creation. This vision is realized through its mission to deliver fast, objective, and accurate news. MINA also actively supports the causes of the Muslim community, particularly the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the recognition of Palestine as an independent state.

MINA News Agency has a broad readership, with visitors from various parts of the world, including Indonesia, the United States, Turkey, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, the United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Taiwan, and many others. MINA also serves as a key reference for diplomats and ambassadors from friendly countries, especially from the Middle East and Africa, such as Saudi Arabia, Palestine, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Egypt, Sudan, Morocco, Kenya, and others.
