JAMA’AH MUSLIMIN (HIZBULLAH) ISSUES STATEMENT ON YEMENI CRISIS
Jakarta, 24 Jumadil Akhir 1436/13 April 2015 (MINA) – Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) as a forum for Muslim unity which applies ‘khilafah ala minhajin nubuwah’ (a caliphate system based on prophethood way), issued the following statement on the Yemen’s crisis:
1. The conflicts in Yemen will push the country to the real destruction. As Balqis, the Queen of Saba has said quoted in Al-Qur’an: ” Surely, when the kings entering the country (Yemen), they will ruin make the population into abject (QS. An Naml [27]: 34)
Rebellion and usurpation led into a civil war and worsen the life of its people. The intervention of foreign parties either requested or not by the Yemeni makes things worse.
Yemen was described by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH: ” Yemeni has come upon you, they are a very kind and humble. Fiqh is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni. “(narrated by Bukhari)
Yemen crisis is threatening peace in the region and surrounding areas. It needs the greatness soul from all parties to find the best solution, not to politicize issues just to satisfy some individuals or groups.
2. The war has killed hundreds of innocent civilians (including women and children) and wounded many others. The civil war can not be justified for any reason. We call upon the leaders of Yemen in two warring parties and leaders of Saudi coalition should fear Allah’s warning in the Qur’an about killing Muslims.
Al-Qur’an has said: “And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell to abide therein, and the Wrath and the Curse of Allah are upon him, and a great punishment is prepared for him.” (Surah An-Nisa [4]: 93), “Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. And indeed, there came to them Our Messengers with clear proofs, evidences, and signs, even then after that many of them continued to exceed the limits (e.g. by doing oppression unjustly and exceeding beyond the limits set by Allah by committing the major sins) in the land!”.(Surah Al-Maidah [5]: 32)
The Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam also stated: “Abusing a Muslim is wickedness and killing him is heathendom” (narrated by Bukhari).
3. All parties in Yemen should not be easily provoked by third parties who want to pitting fellow Muslims, so the prolonged conflict only hurt Muslims themselves.
4. Based on the foregoing, we submit the appeals as follow:
a) Muslims must care and participate actively in finding the best solution for Yemen, especially providing aids for them. Referring to the command of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala in the Qur’an as follows: “The believers are brothers, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala in the Qur’an as follows: “Indeed the believers are brothers. Therefore, make peace between the two brothers and fear towards Allah that you may receive mercy.” (Surah Al-Hujurat [49]: 10)
The Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi Wasallam said: “The believers are like one body, if there is one part of the body got sick, the other parts feel the pain, unable to sleep and fever.” (narrated by al-Bukhari, Muslim and Ahmad)
b) Increase the awareness of what is happening in Yemen and all Muslims who are oppressed and tyrannized by as the Qur’an says:” “And those who disbelieve are allies to one another, (and) if you (Muslims of the whole world collectively) do not do so (i.e. become allies, as one united block with one Khalifah – chief Muslim ruler for the whole Muslim world to make victorious Allah’s Religion of Islamic Monotheism), there will be Fitnah(wars, battles, polytheism, etc.) and oppression on earth, and a great mischief and corruption (appearance of polytheism),” (Surah Al-Anfal [8]: 73)
c) Muslims should be alert to any trickery from the enemies of Allah who always try to break Muslims union in various ways (sectarian conflict, sharpen religious and ideological fanaticism, ect). Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala warned:” Never will the Jews nor the Christians be pleased with you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) till you follow their religion. Say: “Verily, the Guidance of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism) that is the (only) Guidance. And if you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) were to follow their (Jews and Christians) desires after what you have received of Knowledge (i.e. the Qur’an), then you would have against Allah neither any Wali (protector or guardian) nor any helper.” (Surah Al-Baqarah [2]: 120). Verily, you will find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers (Muslims) the Jews and those who are Al-Mushrikun (see V.2:105), and you will find the nearest in love to the believers (Muslims) those who say: “We are Christians.” That is because amongst them are priests and monks, and they are not proud.” (Surah Al-Aidah [5]: 82).
d) Muslims should build mutual understanding, respect, honor and defend among fellow Muslims in Yemen and build unity and avoid divisions as commanded by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala in the Qur’an: “And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Qur’an), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allah’s Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islamic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that you may be guided.” (Surah Ali Imran [3]: 103)
The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi Wasallam said:
Do not you jealous, peek, hostile each another, do not buy the goods which is offered by others, be you, servants of Allah, not tricked, not lying and humiliating, Taqwa it here , he (the Prophet hinted his chest three times “(narrated by Muslim).
e) Calls upon the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to implement the constitutional mandate to actively bring the peace, including in Yemen which historically had a very close relationship with Indonesia for a long time, especially religious relations.(T/P008/R03)
