Saudi Ambassador Appreciates the Good Relations of Indonesia – Saudi Arabia
Jakarta, MINA – Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Indonesia Osama bin Mohammed Abdullah Al-Shuabi has said that Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have a very good and strong relationship and expressed his gratitude for all the support of the people and the Indonesian government to the kingdom.
The ambassador made the remark in the opening of Saudi Arabia’s National Day Celebration held by the Saudi Arabian Embassy on Tuesday (26/9) at Ritz Carlton Hotel, Mega Kuningan, South Jakarta.
Osama said, National Day has its own meaning for the people of the Kingdom, because the National Day signifies the union between the nation and the Arabs in the Arabian Peninsula.
“The National Day for Saudi Arabia is not the day of independence, but the day of unilateralization of the ummah and the Arabian Peninsula, where the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presents 90% of its territory that has not been touched by foreign invaders, but what happens is a split between two fighting powers,” he said.
Osama asserted, that is why the founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdulaziz bin Abdurahman Al-Saud campaigned massively to unite the Kingdom in 1920 AD.
Osama thanked the government and the people of Indonesia for all support to the Kingdom, he said, the Indonesian people have great patience and sincere hospitality, both of which are seen from the smile culture of this nation.
Also attending the event were Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Indonesia’s third President, B.J Habibie, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan, Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifudin and Middle East Ambassadors such as Kuwait, Oman, UAE, Bahrain, Egypt.
