Indonesia International Leadership Camp 2016 Begins

Jakarta, 9 Rabi’ul Awwal 1438/9 December 2016 (MINA) –  The Indonesia International Leadership Camp 2016 began on Wednesday which is held to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Al-Azhar Youth Leader Institute (AYLI), the organizer of the international training program.

In his opening speech of the leadership training, Chairman of YPI Al-Azhar, Suhadi S.Kom underlined the importance of the role of youth in spreading the global propagation of Islam.

According to Suhadi,  with this IILC, Indonesian youths are expected to show the world that Indonesia is able to become a pioneer in mobilizing the global youth to be the future.leaders.

IILC is a youth leadership training initiated by Indonesia for the world. The youths from seven countries, namely South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the Philippines, Australia, Egypt and of course Indonesia as the host  are taking part in the third edition of the leadership training program..

“This is the real action of the Indonesian youth  in addressing the leadership crisis that happens not only in the country but globally.” said Suhadi.

In the opening was also unveiled AYLI branches in four countries, namely Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines. IILC activities in 2016 will be held for 14 days, 7 to 20 December 2016 in two Indonesian provinces, Jakarta and West Java.

AYLI is a youth leadership development organization with activities made under the auspices of the Al-Azhar Islamic Boarding School Foundation (YPI). During the training, the participants will be equipped with the knowledge on leadership that includes aspects of mental, physical, intellectual and spiritual. In addition, they also will be introduced to Indonesia in a holistic manner, ” said Committee Chairman Affan to Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA).

As in the previous years, Affan said, the implementation of IILC program is intended as a friendship and get together forum among Muslim youths hailing from different countries because the participants are invited to be united as set out in our national slogan, Bhineka Tunggal Ika, Unity in Diversity.
