Advice of the Jamaah Muslimin (Hizbullah): Building the Unity of Muslims

Bogor, (MINA) – With regard to the recent national situation concerning the life of Muslims in Indonesia, herewith JAMA’AH MUSLIMIN (HIZBULLAH) conveys the following advice:

Along with the Islamic mission of Rahmatan Lil’alamiin or to be a mercy for the universe, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala instructed the Muslims to unite, live in an orderly and peaceful manner under the leadership of an Imam. As mentioned in the Qur’an: And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you – when you were in a state of mutual enmity and He brought your hearts together, an you became, by His favor, brothers. And you are on the edge of an abyss of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does God make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.

“And hold on to the ropes of Allah in congregation, and do not be divided and remember the favors of Allah to you when ye were enemies, so God unites your hearts, then be ye in the mercy of Allah, People who are brothers; And ye are on the edge of the abyss of hell, and God rescues you from him. Thus Allah explains His verses unto you, that ye may be guided. “(Q.S. Ali Imran [3]: 103)

Realizing that the strength of the Muslim community lies in the unity and unity between them, the effort to unite the ummah becomes a shared obligation. The unification of the Muslims can not be done in a way that is inconsistent with the guidance of Allah and His Messenger as coercion with power or wealth (possessions). This is contained in Surah Al-Anfal [8] verses 62-64 below:

But if they intend to deceive you – then sufficient for you is God. It is He supported with His help and with the believers. And brought together their hearts. If you have spent all that is in the earth, you might not have brought their hearts together; But God brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise.
O Prophet, sufficient for you is God and for whoever follows you of the believers.

The efforts of Muslims to build cohesiveness and unity among them are part of the implementation of the Islamic Shari’a In the context of national and state life, every Indonesian citizen who is Muslim is guaranteed his right by the constitution to perform the worship according to his religious guidance. Therefore, none of the parties arbitrarily harassed let alone usurped the constitutional rights of the Muslims.

It should be realized together that fellow Muslims are brothers. Whenever a dispute should be reconciled in the best way based on the principle of ukhuwah Islamiyah according to Allah’s command in the Quran Surah Al-Hujurat [49] verse 10: “Surely the believers are brothers. Therefore reconcile (fix the relationship) between your two brothers and fear God, so that you may gain mercy. “Muslims are forbidden by Islam to harm each other as the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam says. “A Muslim is a brother to other Muslims, should not tackle him, humiliate him, deny him, and demean him.” [HR. Muslim, No. 2580].

The rapid development of Islam in various parts of the world including in Indonesia is likely to generate resentment on the phobic parties to Islam. To confront him Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala ordered that Muslims always be patient with always doing good to others and reject evil with good. As He said: “And those who patiently seek the good pleasure of their Lord, establish prayers, and spend some of the Provision that We give them, secretly or openly and reject evil with good; These are the ones who have the final (good) place. “(Q.S. Ar Ra’du [13]: 22]

May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala protect and help the Indonesian Muslims to be able to carry out their religious guidance in terms of building harmonious relationships with their peers regardless of religion, ethnicity and culture, and guarding the integrity of the nation and the rule of law and justice In lndonesia, aamiin.
