OVER 10.000 PALESTINIANS INJURED SINCE OCTOBER 1ST: MINISTRY OF HEALTH

Bethlehem, 11 Safar 1437/23 November 2015 (MINA) – Over 10,000 Palestinians were injured, including at least 1458 who were shot with live army fire, and 1070 shot with rubber-coated steel bullets.

This last Friday more than 200 Palestinians were injured by the Israeli occupation forces across the occupied West Bank and in the Gaza Strip during confrontations with the IOF, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

About 118 Palestinians were shot with live ammunition by the IOF, other 60 Palestinian citizens were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, including 41 who received treatment by local medics without the need for hospitalization, as stated by the Health Minister, Palestine News Network (PNN) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Clashes between the Palestinian youth and the Israeli occupation forces took place in several areas of the occupied West Bank and in the Gaza Strip.

In the occupied West Bank the massive confrontations were in areas such as: Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah and Qalqilia.

In Qalqilia, three Palestinians were shot with live ammunition, three with rubber-coated steel bullets; all of them were taken to the hospital, while 24 others were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets and received treatment in the local, by the medics.

In Ramallah area, 29 Palestinians were shot with live ammunition, two with rubber-coated steel bullets; they were moved to several hospitals in the Ramallah and al-Biereh District.

Other 13 Palestinians were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, and received treatment by the medics without the need for hospitalization

In the Hebron area, 51 Palestinians were shot with live ammunition in the lower parts of their bodies, six with rubber-coated steel bullets and many suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

In Bethlehem, two Palestinians were shot with live ammunition, and one with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the neck. They were taken to the Beit Jala Governmental Hospital, while ten others were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets and received treatment in the local by the medics.

In the Gaza Strip, 33 Palestinians were shot with live ammunition, one with a rubber-coated steel bullet, and one suffered a fracture in his arm after being shot with a gas bomb.

Since the beginning of October, the number of Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces has reached 91, including 18 children and four women, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

The Ministry said that 72 Palestinians have been killed by the IOF in the occupied West Bank since October 1, 18 in the besieged Gaza Strip, and one in the Negev.(T/P008/R03)
