YAKHSYALLAH MANSUR: WORLD SHOULD LEARN SPREAD OF ISLAM IN INDONESIA

Central Lampung, 4 Saffar 1437/16 November 2015 (MINA) – The world should imitate the example set by Islam as the religion entered Indonesia peacefully.

Imaamul Muslimin Yakhsyallah Mansur said this to hundreds of worshipers during a mass religious gathering (Tabligh Akbar) at Tanjung Jaya Village, Bangun Rejo Subdistrict, Central Lampung Regency, Sunday (15/11).

This made possible thank to the cleverness of the Islamic scholars who first brought Islam to Indonesia.

“Can Muslims emulate the smart ways taken by the Islamic clerics at the time in conveying Islam without wielding a weapon?,” he said.

Furthermore, according to him, the entry of Islam without bloodshed has been a remarkable appeal for Islam to be quickly developed and survivable in Indonesia.

“No Religion can match the rapid development of the Islamic propagation in the archipelago, and in contrast to other areas such as the war conducted in the conquest of Constantinople, Islam in Indonesia can last long even to this day,” he said.

He also added that Islam is a religion emphasizing the similarities and togetherness.(L/P008/R07)
