Muslim Youth Forum Holds Breaking the Fast With Azeri Ambassador and Others

Jakarta, MINA – The Muslim Youth Forum (MYF) on International Issues in collaboration with the Executive Board of Indonesian Islamic Students (PB PII) held a Ramadan Dialogue entitled “Ramadan Dialogue Series: Diplomacy Updates!”.

This is a discussion activity as well as a dialogue with the embassies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries.

This event aimed to provide insights and ideas of the Islamic world, education, politics, history, culture and others to the generation of Muslim in Indonesia, so the insights of generations of Indonesian Muslims can be more widespread and open.

This Ramadhan Dialogue was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Jakarta on Thursday (24/5).

The dialogue, arranged with breaking the fast with other people and maghrib prayer  is discussing many things, ranging from the problems of the Islamic world, politics, history, culture, to the challenge of the Islamic world between Indonesia and Azerbaijan.

Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Indonesia, Tamerlan Garayev, explained there are some interesting things from the history of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan that uknown by some people, This is related to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the country, which precisely on May 28, 2018.

Ambassador Garayev in front of the participants consisting of Islamic students, academics, NGOs and representatives of the House of Representatives explaining briefly the stages of the history of the founding of Azerbaijan.

He expressed great pleasure and satisfaction for good  bilateral relations with Indonesia and eager to explore more opportunities in the coming years.

“I want to enhance cultural cooperation especially in introducng  opera  of Laila-Majnun which come from big history of Azerbaijan,” said the Ambassador. (LT/R04/RS5)
