Israeli Forces Palestinian to Demolish His Home in Occupied Jerusalem

Occupied Jerusalem, MINA – The Israeli occupation forces ordered the Palestinian citizen Anis No’man Gheith to demolish his own family home in Jerusalem’s town of Beit Hanina.

Gheith said the Israeli forces ordered him to knock down his home built five years ago, PIC reported.

Over the past few years, the house owner received several demolition notifications issued by the Israeli occupation authorities under the unlicensed construction pretext.

An Israeli court threatened to penalize him in case he does not demolish an extra floor he constructed over the past years.

Palestinians living in Occupied Jerusalem are often forced to demolish their own family homes. Those who do not abide by the orders are systematically subjected to steep fines. Many Palestinians resort to building without permits from the Israeli occupation because when they apply for one, they almost never get it.(R/R04/RS5)
