Israel Closes Ibrahimi Mosque for Jewish Holidays

Al-Khalil, MINA – The Israeli occupation authorities announced their intention to close the Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslim worshipers on Monday and Tuesday over Jewish holidays.

Undersecretary of the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs Husam Abu al-Rob denounced the Israeli move and described it as “provocative”, Palinfo reported on Monday (30/9).

Abu al-Rob said that the closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque falls in line with Israel’s plan to completely take over the Islamic site.

He called on the Palestinian citizens in al-Khalil to intensify their presence in the Ibrahimi Mosque in the coming days to protect it against Israeli conspiracies.(T/R04/P2)
