Islamic Movement Calls on Palestinians to Guards Al-Aqsa
Al-Quds, MINA – The Islamic Movement in Al-Quds is calling on Palestinians in Al-Quds City to stand by at Al-Aqsa Mosque starting on Sunday, September 29 until the end of Jewish festive season.
“The call to stand by at Al-Aqsa Mosque aims not to give Israeli occupation an opportunity to make plans to confirm their new realities and claims at Al-Aqsa Mosque,” a statement of Al-Quds Islamic Movement was quoted by Palestinian Information Center (Palinfo).
The movement also called on the leaders of Al-Quds and national and religious authorities to be at the forefront of standing by at al-Aqsa Mosque and defending it.
The call coincided with the 19th anniversary of Al-Aqsa Intifada, the massive Israeli invasion of Al-Aqsa Mosque during the time of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on September 28, 2000.
Earlier, Jewish groups belonging to the “Temple Organization” called on supporters and settler to organize a large-scale invasion of Al-Aqsa Mosque at the celebration they called “Hebrew New Year.”
According to reports from Israeli sources, this massive attack will be followed by dozens of Jewish Rabbis and senior members of “Temple Organization” groups and a number of members of the Israeli government.
The extremist groups began to intensify their call to invade Al-Aqsa Mosque and spread it through the media and social networking sites.
They stressed that they had fully coordinated with Israeli Police to facilitate the invasion this time. (T/Sj)
