IOA Slaps Visit Ban on Palestinian Detainee

Salfit, 11 Dzulhijjah 1437/13 September 2016 (MINA) – The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) denied prisoner Murad Izzedine Fatash the right to family visits in Israeli custody.

Family sources said the lawyer saw Fatash in the court hall but was prevented from talking to him, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

Fatash was kidnapped by the occupation soldiers at the Zaatara checkpoint in southern Nablus on August 28.

He has been subjected to several abductions on account of his anti-occupation activism at the university. The IOA further sentenced 25-year-old Musab Akef Ishtiyeh to a six-month administrative prison-term, without charge or trial.

The detainee’s brother, Adam, said prisoner Ishtiyeh was transferred to administrative detention under the security-file pretext.
