Baku. 21 Rajab 1437/29 April 2016 (MINA) – Azerbaijan and Indonesia enjoy very good relations, and the two countries actively cooperate within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Indonesian ambassador to Azerbaijan Husnan bey Fananie told APA on Thursday.

The ambassador said the two countries enjoy a high level of bilateral relations on multinational formats, noting that there is huge potential for this area to develop further.

The diplomat mentioned that his country imports oil from Azerbaijan.

“Azerbaijan is the second-biggest oil-exporter to Indonesia. We need Azerbaijani oil but Azerbaijan does not import a lot of products from Indonesia although there is a huge potential for it. We need to expand our cooperation in this area. I will try to contribute to develop tourism relations. As you know, Azerbaijani tourists can stay in Indonesia without visa for a month. I will do my best for a direct flight route to be established,” he said.
