Bandung, 6 Dzulqa’dah 1437/9 August 2016 (MINA) – The Third President of Indonesia Baharuddin Jusuf Habibie inagurated the new Kidney Special Hospital building (RSKG) on Monday (8/8) at Jalan Tubagus Ismail, Bandung. The hospital is not only for the wealthy, but the poor patients can also be treated for free.

The RSKG is built to honor the mother of B.J Habibie. This hospital is not only engaged in the field of medicine, but also organized training for the treatment of patients with renal impairment.

“So far, RSKG serves the poor patients who do require dialysis for his services,” said Habibie. As mush as 97 percent of the patients are free of charge.

RSKG has a lot and modern owned dialysis machines. The hospital can also produce its own dialysate (special fluids for dialysis) which are quite expensive in the market.

 

The Managing Director dr. Qania Mufliani said that the new building will be functionalized with surgical facilities, laboratories and special education for general practitioners and internist, while the old  building is functioned only for dialysis.”

Bandung Mayor Kamil Ridwan added that this hospital can be a central health care for kidney failure patients.  The hospital can also be a center research and training of dialysis techniques for internists, general practitioners, nurses and technicians.
