Australian Ambassador Admires Indonesian Election

Jakarta, MINA – Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Gary Quinlan was amazed by the simultaneous elections in Indonesia on Wednesday. The 2019 election did not only chose the president and vice president but also members of Parliament (DPR), Provincial DPRD, Regency DPRD and Senator (DPD).

Quinlan called elections in Indonesia as the largest and most complex national elections on a single day ever held anywhere. Compliment can not be separated from the process that took place successfully and peacefully.

“Congratulations to the government and people of Indonesia for a successful and peaceful general election today (Wednesday), the largest and most complex national elections on a single day that have ever been held anywhere,” Quinlan said on account Twitter.

He added, “this is an achievement for democracy, not only in Indonesia but also globally. Australians admire this.
