Arab League Calls for Ending Israeli Occupation of Palestine

Cairo, MINA – The Arab League on Thursday called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities toward the Palestinian cause and act toward ending the Israeli occupation.

The Arab League in a statement on the 42nd anniversary of the Palestinian Land Day announced its full support of the steadfast Palestinian people, praising their great sacrifices for the sake of freedom and independence, PIC reported.

It asked the international community to urgently act to put an end to the unceasing Israeli violations and enable the Palestinians to exercise their right to self-determination.

The statement stressed that the UN institutions, especially the Security Council, should intervene and pressure Israel to stop its collective punishment policies pursued against the Palestinians including Gaza siege, land confiscation, house demolition and many others.(R/R04/RS5)
