Jakarta, MINA – Abu Bakar Baasyir, a terrorism convict underwent a medical treatment at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) Jakarta on Tuesday.

Baasyir’s lawyer, Mahendradatta, said that the health check-up has been routinely carried out based on the referral of the medical team at the Gunung Sindur Penitentiary since November 2018.

“Regarding things that it cannot be handled in jail, doctors for jail must be referred here,” Mahendradatta said in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Through examination, he said Baasyir experienced narrowing of blood vessels, calcification of bones, disturbances in the heart and dementia.

According to the family, Ba’asyir will be released without any conditions due to the consideration of the old age of Ba’asyir.
