Bethlehem, 3 Rabi’ul Akhir 1436/24 January 2015 (MINA)– President Mahmoud Abbas said Friday that Palestinian membership of the International Criminal Court would be fully active by April, the official Palestinian Authority news agency Wafa reported.

Abbas said the most important issues to bring to the ICC were Israeli settlements and assaults, Ma’an News Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

The comments came during Abbas’ visit to Tunisia, during which he and Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi discussed the latest Palestinian, Arab, and international political developments.

Abbas said he was mourning Saudi king Abdullah’s death and that he is heading to Saudi Arabia to express his condolences.
