A Korean Mualaf, Ayana Launches Books at IBF

Jakarta, MINA – A South Korean Islam convert (Mualaf) and hijaber, Ayana Jihye Moon, launched a book entitled ‘Ayana Journey To Islam’ on Sunday at the Main Stage of the 19th Islamic Book Fair in 2020 at the Jakarta Covention Center (JCC), Senayan, Central Jakarta.

Through her book, the South Korean-born woman told of her life journey as a convert, starting from the beginning of her interest in Islam, while still living in Korea, to the life she lived in Malaysia and Indonesia.

“I remember my grandfather and uncle often told stories about Muslim women and how they dressed. I think, this is the first time in my life I have an awareness of the concept of religion, and began to search for Islam, “Ayana said at the launch of his book.

According to her, Islam is everything, this book not only tells about the process of hijrah, but also about how Ayana knows Islam, finds the meaning of love, the meaning of family, and the way of life in Islam.

“At first I was arrogant, after converting to Islam I began to be patient, my heart calm. I found myself starting to love myself, “he said.

The book “Ayana Journey to Islam” which was launched at IBF 2020 is a book that contains the story of the struggle of a female convert from South Korea, Ayana, who discovered the meaning of love, family meaning, and way of life in Islam.  (T/RE1)
