MUSLIM WORLD SHOULD CONTINUE TO MOVE AGAINST ISRAELI CRIMES

       Jakarta, 30 Rajab 1434 / June  9, 2013 (MINA) – The General Coordinator of the Global March to Jerusalem (GMJ)  Dr. Ribhi Halloum, called on the Islamic world to continue to move against Israeli crimes in Al Quds and Palestine.

       Halloum, one of the declarator of  International Conference for the Liberation of Al-Quds and Palestine in Bandung, Indonesia in July 2012, who is also a former Palestinian ambassador to Indonesia was interviewed by MINA (Mi’raj News Agency)’s reporter Widi Kusnadi via telephone on Friday (7/6).

        From his office in Jordan, Halloum expressed an appreciation and thanks to MINA’s which constantly preach and support the liberation  struggle of Al-Aqsa and Palestine through online media published in three languages, Arabic, Indonesian, and English.

Here are the excerpts of interview.

MINA: What specific targets to be achieved from convening GMJ in many countries of the world?

Ribhi Halloum (RH): This is part of our efforts to socialize and appeal to Muslims all over the world and international community in general to know the context and the recent conditions of Al-Quds and Palestine.

Muslims in particular and the international community at large should know the actual conditions of Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque every minutes. So that Muslims around the world could do something to relieve Al Quds and Palestine from the Zionist Israelis occupation who have no right to live there.

MINA: After they know the conditions of Al Quds and Palestine, what’s the next step?

RH: After knowing the conditions of Al-Quds, Muslims are expected to keep moving against Israeli occupation forces actions towards the holy city of Al-Quds.

Muslims all over the world and international organizations who are concerned with Al Quds and Palestinians issues should do something to protect Al-Quds and Al Aqsa in various ways.

MINA: What’s the difference of GMJ which was held and the event today?

RH: GMJ today is different than the event last year. Last year, all activists gathered in one place, that is in Jordan Valley which directly adjacent to Palestine. However, this year, the events are  held in their respective countries. Insya Allah, the events today will have mora participants than last year, because it can be followed by people in their respective countries.

There are about 86 organisations which have confirmed to hold GMJ including in West Bank, Al-Quds, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Gaza Strip. Neighboring countries will also participate in the event like Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Yemen, Pakistan, Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritania, Malaysia, Russia, the U.S., Germany, Norway, UK, USA, Canada, Argentina, Malaysia and Indonesia.

MINA: What kind of events are held by GMJ?

RH: The events are in the form of delievering speeches, discussions, film screenings, and other activities which themed Al-Quds and Palestine issue.

MINA: What is the recent condition of Al-Quds and the surroundings today?

RH: Al Quds is now in a very poor condition. The jewish extrimists are now starting to use armed force to enter the area of Al-Quds. They even did not hesitate to harm Muslims to enter into the sacred area.

MINA: What about the Judaization efforts in the area of Al-Aqsa Mosque?

RH: Israel is constantly intensifying their efforts of Judaization toward Al-Aqsa to impose full sovereignty over the blessed region.

Israel still imposes restrictions for Palestinian Muslims under the age of 50 years by banning them from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

They also continuously build illegal Jewish settlements, ravaged Palestinian homes, and arresting the citizens without any reason, including women and children to be detained in their prisons indefinitely.

MINA: What is your hope in the presence of GMJ today?

RH: GMJ is one step in the global move, hold the peaceful mass demonstrations in Palestine, in the neighboring countries of Palestine, in the closest regions of Al-Quds, as well as in many cities around the world.

Through the actions like GMJ, it is intended for Muslims in particular and international community who love freedom and peace, it can be one of encouragement to demand the end of the Israeli occupation inAl-Quds and Palestine.

MINA: And what is your hope to Indonesian Muslims people, where you’ve ever been worked there and attended an Intenational Conference last year?

RH: I would like to thank you for your participation and support for GMJ actions undertaken in many countries including Indonesia.

More specifically, many thanks to Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) that consistently and constantly produces and distributes the news about Al-Aqsa and Palestine.
