Arab Ministerial Delegation Formed for US Decision on Jerusalem (Al-Quds) to Hold Meeting in Jordan, January 6

Cairo,, MINA – The Assistant Secretary-General of Arab League Ambassador Hossam Zaki, has confirmed that the Arab ministerial delegation formed by Arab Foreign Ministers Council tasked with responding to the U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital will hold a meeting in Jordan on January 6, SPA reported Wednesday.

This came during a press conference held by Ambassador Hossam Zaki.

The Arab ministerial delegation includes foreign ministers of
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Palestine
and Morocco, as well as the Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

Trump’s decision to recognise Jerusalem or Al-Quds as Israel’s capital broke with international consensus, triggering protests across the Muslim world and drawing strong condemnation.

Key US allies including Britain, France, Italy, Japan and Ukraine were among the 14 countries in the 15-member council that voted in favour of rejecting the move. (T/RS5/RS1)
