Washington, 24 Rabi’ul Awwal 1437/4 January 2016 (MINA) – Donald Trump, who leads polls for Republican nomination, has said in an interview aired on Sunday that it does not concern him at all that he is being used in essentially a recruitment video by a terrorist organization.

Trump was reacting to Al-Qaeda affiliate Al-Shabaab’s use of a soundbite from the Republican front-runner’s speech in December calling for the total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States, International Islamic News Agency (IINA) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

A portion of Al-Shabaab’s video showed Trump calling for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States” to protect the country. It also used Trump’s quotes to warn that the U.S. will eventually turn against its Muslim citizens.

The video has said to Muslims, ‘You either join Al-Shabaab group or leave the United States because of what Trump is proposing.’

When asked if it does concern him at all that he is being used in essentially a recruitment video by a terrorist organization, Trump said: “They use other people, too.”

“What am I going to do? I have to say what I have to say,” he added.

Donald Trump is still leading other Republican candidates seeking to win the GOP nomination for the presidential elections scheduled for the end of 2016. (T/P006/R07)
