Statement of Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) Regarding Russian Military Operation in Ukraine

Cileungsi, MINA – Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) as a Muslims Unity forum delivered a statement of its position regarding the Russian military operation to Ukraine.

Through a written statement signed by the Chair of Brotherhood Council H. Bustamin Utje, Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) delivered the following statement:

1. We regret the steps taken by Russia’s military operations against Ukraine that threaten the sovereignty of a country, causing a reaction of resistance from the Ukrainian side so that currently the situation is an atmosphere of war.
2. We view that this war has got deep attention from the world community. It will danger to world peace because the conflict can easily turn into world wars. War and violence should not be an option and bloodshed without a justifiable reason should be condemned.
3. We, Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) views that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, Lord of the universe, created mankind as a Khilafah on earth, to manage and prosper the earth, not to spill blood on each other, as it’s stated in the holy Qur’an, Surah Al-Baqarah [2] verse 30. A war without a justified reason only cause damage and destruction and humiliate the defeated opponent, as stated in the holy Qur’an, Surah An-Naml [27] verse 34.
4. War resulted civilian casualties. The destruction of public infrastructure has an impact on the economy, and harming society if the conflict is not resolved immediately.
5. Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) view that efforts to make peace through negotiations are the preferred option over continuing the war.
6. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a warning to Western people that they defend Ukraine in the name of humanity, but they are silent about the Zionist Jewish attacks on Palestine, China against Uigurs, India against Kashmir, Myanmar against Rohingya and so on. For that we call on the international community to be able to place this incident objectively and proportionally and not to raise double standards, where they will defend according to their interests and ignore the persecuted Muslims.
7. We call on all parties to bring peace, liberating the world’s citizens from all forms of violence and human rights violations. We encourage world leaders to make more intensive efforts with various parties so that this conflict can be resolved peacefully and benefit all parties.
8. We call on Russia to stop military operations, the West must also stop mobilization and sanctions. We believe an acceptable peaceful solution can be formulated and human catastrophe can be avoided. We call for establishing communication for peace talks.
9. As Muslims, we pray to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, Lord of the worlds, may Allah protect all human beings from misery, aameen.
