Palestinian Man Dies of Wounds Sustained by Israeli Fire, Says Health Ministry

Israeli settlers step up violent attacks against Palestinians.

Ramallah, MINA – A Palestinian man died of his wounds he sustained when the Israeli occupation forces shot him in the West Bank city of Nablus yesterday, the Palestnian Health Ministry said Saturday.

A severely-injured Palestinian arrived at Rafidia government hospital in Nablus but died of his wounds the ministry added in a statement.

Palestinian sources identified the deceased as Omair Shahada, who was in his 20s.

Mazen Shahadah, head of council at Ureef village, told KUNA armed Jewish settlers attacked the village last night.

The occupation forces, which was providing back-up for the settlers, opened fire at the Palestinians who came out to confront the settlers.

He said the Jewish settlers were attacking the village and surrounding villages on a daily basis and shooting at the locals. (T/RS5/RS1)
