New York Blast, Australian Ulema Asks It Not be Tied with Islam

Melbourne, 16 Dhul Hijjah 1437/18 September, 2016 (MINA) – Australian Ulema in Melbourne, Muhammed Edwars called on media and everyone that it should not to be associated with Islam.

 

The scholar who is now become a marriage registrar in Australia Victoria State also appealed to the US government to conduct a thorough investigation so that the perpetrators of the explosion can be arrested soon.

“We strongly condemn the action because it is contrary to the teachings of any religions, including Islam,” said one of the chair of Minang Saiyo community in Melbourne.

“Islam is a peaceful religion, gives mercy to all universe. The acts of terrorism, extremism, and radicalism is contrary to the teachings of Islam. Therefore bombing in the Manhattan neighborhood of Chelsea was clearly not a related to Islam, ” he continued.

As reported by many media, an explosion occurred in the Manhattan neighbourhood of Chelsea, New York  around 08.30 PM Saturday evening local time.

Dozens of people were injured in the explosion. The New York Mayor labelled “an intentional act” but one that had no credible link to terrorism at this stage.

One person was seriously injured and at least 29 others suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the blast, which occurred on the street at around 8.30pm, according to the New York Police Department.

New York police claimed to have a video that shows a man putting an object in a trash box, followed by an explosion some time later. (R03 /R07)
