King Salman gives kiswah as a gift to the Istiqlal Mosque.
Jakarta, 03 Jumadil Akhir 1438/02 March 2017 (MINA) – The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and President Joko Widodo of the Republic of Indonesia met here today at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta with the most prominent Islamic figures in Indonesia.
At the outset of the meeting, the President of Indonesia expressed pride and happiness regarding meeting of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques with a number of Islamic figures in his country, SPA reported.

The President expressed his pride in the efforts exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for serving Islam and Muslims.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed his happiness of meeting with the Islamic figures in Indonesia, pointing out that Islam is facing today a campaign seeking to undermine its values of moderation and tolerance.
The monarch stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is honored to serve the Two Holy Mosques and provide all efforts pertaining to serve the Islam and Muslims.
A number of the Islamic figures spoke, expressing their thanks to the Custodian of the Two holy Mosques for visiting Indonesia.

Then, King Salman shook hands with all attendees. Memorial photos were taken.
Before leaving the Merdeka Palace, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud planted a tree in the palace’s garden on this occasion.
The meeting was attended by a number of princes and ministers members of the official delegation.

Memorial gift of Kiswah
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud visited here Thursday Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta which is one of the most Islamic prominent landmarks in Indonesia.
Upon arrival, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was received by President Joko Widodo of the Republic of Indonesia; Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin and a number of Indonesian officials.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the President of Indonesia performed two Raka’ahs (two units of Islamic prayer).

Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques provided a memorial gift which is a belt of the Holy Kaaba (the House of Allah) for Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was briefed on establishment of the mosque and phases of its constructions as well as its role in the memorization of the Holy Quran and publishing of the knowledge.
The monarch signed in the record visits, expressing his happiness to visit Istiqlal Mosque which is an Islamic landmark and a bright center in the Southeast Asia in addition to its role in the memorization of the Holy Quran and publishing of the Islamic culture.
