Jamaah Muslimin: Linking Islam With Terrorism Is Slander
Jakarta, 24 Rabiul Akhir 1438/23 January 2017 (MINA) – Imaam of Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah), a non-political Islamic forum in Indonesia, Yakhsyallah Mansur, said generalising Islam by linking it to terrorism is totally defamation made to marginalised Muslim.
His statement made related to the US elected president Donald Trump’s innauguration speech recently.
“All these times, Muslims have been the scapegoat for a crime that was never done,” he told Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA), Monday.
He continued the slander were spread massively through various media since a long time ago. Imaam Yakhsyallah also stressed history records that the perpetrators of terrorism and the destruction of the world is mostly done by those who are not Muslims.
“Look, who dropped the atomic bombs that devastated Hiroshima and Nagasaki that claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Japanese and leaving a radioactive disaster for decades. Also the damage and destruction in Vietnam and Afghanistan due to absurd war,” he said.
He also stressed the casualties of people in Syria and Iraq who is killed by a non-Muslim countries who drop bombs from fighter jet. Reports said, most of casualties in both countries died due to airstrikes.
He expressed Islam is truely spreading peace and love, and fix social problems in society. As he then quoted, one of holy Quran verses: “We sent thee, O Muhammad, but as a mercy for all mankind” (QS. Al-Anbiya [21]: 107).
“Islam has guided Muslims to live in peace and harmony with whoever appreciates it,” he said.
He urged to all Muslims arround the world to raise brotherhood among Muslim as Allah orders in surah Al-Hujurat verse 10.(L/RE1/P02)
