Indonesian Intl Halal Expo Being Actual Events in Jakarta

Jakarta, MINA – In these two months, at least two international halal events held in Jakarta, followed by the latest international halal exhibition will be held in the capital city.

The Institute for Food, Drug and Cosmetic Assessment of Indonesian Ulema Council (LPPOM MUI) took the initiative to hold halal socialization and promotion activities through the exhibition of Indonesia International Halal Expo (INDHEX).

INDHEX is an annual program organized by LPPOM MUI in cooperation with several international halal agencies, aimed at promoting public awareness and promotion of halal products globally. This year’s event to be held at SMESCO Exhibiton Hall Building, Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, on 16-18 November 2017.

The event entitled “Improving the Competitiveness of Indonesian SME Products through Halal Certification” is also aimed at promoting SMEs halal-certified product to improve competitiveness in the global market.

The world’s Muslim population reached 1.6 billion is known as potential market with a transaction value of 632 billion dollars per year, with an average transaction rate increase of 17 percent per year.

The Asian region is one of the largest Muslim population with a population of 62.1% and is a huge market share. As now halal is not only a consummation of the Muslim population but has become a global consumption of the world’s population with the tagline “Halal Food is Quality Food”.(L/RE1/P2)
