Indonesian College Students Compete on Islamic Knowledge

Jakarta, 13 Jumadil Akhir 1438/12 March 2017 (MINA) –  At least 31 participants from 10 universities in Indonesia racing on Islamic knowledge as part of series event in Group of Islamic Economic Studies of Islamic Economic Forum (KSEI ISEF).

“The event started by introducing of each campuses who are also member of the Islamic Economic Studies Silaturahim Forum (FoSSEI),” said Chairman of SEBI School of Islamic Economics  Sigit Pramono.

He explained the specific purpose of this quiz-kind competition is to measure the ability of students in the knowledge of Islamic economics, especially those of the students majoring in Economics.

He mentioned among participants who joined the event came from Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), STEI SEBI, the Jakarta State University (UNJ), STEI Tazkia West Java, Gunadarma, Syarifhidayatullah Jakarta State Islamic University (UIN), Islamic University of Indonesia (UII), and many others.

The competition was held as part of series events in Islamic Economic Days II (IED II) from March 8-11, 2017.

Moreover, the institution also held several events such as D’ Battle Of Islamic Economic, Muslimpreneur Competition, Young Design Muslim, Innovative Challenge, seminar on Halal Industry as the main event on the last day.

The event was attended by Indonesian Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartanto, West Nusa Tenggara Governor Muhammad Zainul Majdi, Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Muslim merchant (ISMI) Ing Ilham Akbar Habibie , the Regent of North Lombok Najmul Ahyar, and Chairman BAZNAS Bambang Sudibyo.(L/RE1/P2)
