Haedar Nasir: Muhammadiyah is Ready to Support Uighur

Jakarta, MINA – The Chairman of Muhammadiyah Center, Haedar Nasir stressed that Muhammadiyah is ready to mobilize humanitarian aid and material for Uighur Muslims in China for the discrimination they receive.

“Whatever the reason, the Chinese Government is not justified in carrying out acts of violence for the weak and innocent people that should be protected. So, Muhammadiyah is ready to mobilize humanitarian and material support for peace in Xinjiang, especially for the Uighur people, “he said in a press statement received by Kiblat.net on Wednesday as quoted by MINA.

According to him, the Indonesian Government must not remain silent. He stressed that Indonesia must create peace above the values ​​of humanity.

“Indonesian government must immediately takes diplomatic steps in accordance with the principle of free and active politics in order to create world peace and uphold human rights above the values ​​of humanity and justice,” he said.

In addition, Muhammadiyah also appealed to the Indonesians, especially Muslims, in establishing solidarity for the Uighur they still put forward politeness and peace.
