Depok City, MINA – The Depok City Government plans to run a program of “One Qori (Al-Quran Reciter) and One Hafidz (Al-Quran Memorizer) in One Village”. It was conveyed by the Mayor of Depok, Mohammad Idris during the opening ceremony of Musabaqoh Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) XX at Pasir Putih Sub-District, Sawangan, Depok City, West Java.
“We want to have a program that might be called one qori and one hafiz in one hafidz,” said Idris as quoted from Republika on Monday, November 4.
According to Idris, that way, later each district and city will not be bothered when they have to send qori or hafidz to a higher level.
“To be honest, we still get complaints that there are still districts that have difficulty for finding qori that can be sent to the Depok City MTQ,” he said.
He hoped that hopefully, there would be no more complaints with the attention of Depok City Government on the guidance carried out by LPTQ from the city to the sub-district level.
“Hopefully, it can be realized, this is the core of MTQ implementation, so it’s not just ceremonial to find and compete in certain fields, but make them as assets of the City of Depok,” he explained.
Deputy Mayor of Depok, Pradi Supriatna hopes that there will be improvements after this MTQ event.
“I hope that at a higher level such as at the provincial level, the qori of Depok can achieve. For coaching we provide opportunities in each region there are institutions that oversee this activity. We will continue to push forward, especially in the future there will be special schools that are indeed can give birth to qori and qoriah, ” he said. (T/Sj/P2)
