Two Indonesian Qori Win International MTQ Champion in Iran

Teheran, MINA – A number of Indonesian youths have reportedly successfully won the 36th International MTQ (Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran) held in Tehran. This International MTQ takes place on 10-14 April 2019.

According to Indonesian Embassy in Tehran on Monday, this event is an annual event. This year, there were 84 countries participated. From seven categories, Indonesia sent four participants for male and male adult qori categories, as well as adult female hafiz and student.

Salman Amrillah from West Java Province won first place in adult male recitation category, Muhammad Rifqi Hawari from Riau Islands Province won third place in male student category.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Khaerrurozzaq from the Province of West Nusa Tenggara and Umm Habibah Rochim from East Java Province entered final round for female and adult female hafiz Quran categories.

Meanwhile, at the same time, held International MTQ between students of Islamic boarding schools held in the city of Qom. Where, Sidiq Mulyana from West Java Province won 3rd place for the Fahmil Qur’an category.

“We are very proud and congratulate the qori and hafiz quran who have participated in the 36th Iran International MTQ in Tehran and MTQ International between Islamic boarding schools in Qom.
