Al-Quds, 24 Jumadil Akhir 1436/13 April 2015 (MINA) – Hundreds of Palestinian children from different Palestinian areas participated in the activities of the 13th Aqsa Child festival that started Saturday morning in the courtyards of the Aqsa Mosque.
Scores of children, parents, teachers and fine artists aboard 220 buses arrived in the morning in east Jerusalem to take part in the event, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
In addition to other entertaining and educational activities, the festival started with a drawing contest, where children embarked on drawing the landmarks of the Aqsa Mosque compound.
The Aqsa Child festival is an annual event organized by the Aqsa Foundation for Endowment and Heritage and al-Bayarek Foundation.
The festival, according to its organizers, is intended to strengthen the Palestinian children’s bond with the Aqsa Mosque and to send a strong message to the Israeli occupation that its measures and violations will never succeed in detaching the Palestinians from their Mosque.(T/P008/R03)
