Cileungsi, Bogor Regency, MINA – Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School located in Pasirangin village, Cileungsi District, Bogor Regency is committed to implementing the concept of a friendly environment for mosques (Eco-Masjid) and for Islamic boarding schools (Eco-Pesantren).

It was revealed by the leader of Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School, Yakhsyallah Mansur to the Chairperson of Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Hayu Prabowo during a visit on Saturday.

“Eco-Masjid and Eco-Pesantren are the core application of teachings of Islamic Sharia which are clean, tidy, and friendly environment,” said Yakhsyallah Mansur.

Meanwhile, Hayu Prabowo stressed pesantren must be independent in at least three things, namely water, food, and energy. That is what makes the MUI LPLH institution very concerned about these three things.

“Water is a necessity of life and worship. Water management in pesantren is very important, as is food and energy which can actually be produced from pesantren itself with simple technology, “he explained.

Hayu Prabowo’s visit to Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School is a follow-up to the Eco-Masjid training program that was carried out on 3-5 December. The friendship was received directly by Imam Yakhsyallah, the board administrator of boarding school and Mosque Prosperity Board (DKM).

Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School in Bogor has about 1,500 students. They also have branches in various regions in Indonesia.

LPLH MUI launched the Eco-Masjid program as part of the da’wah through capacity building and strengthening the network of mosque institutions. (T/Sj/P2)
