ISRAELI OCCUPATION INTENSIFIES MEASURES AT AL-AQSA ENTRANCES

Occupied Jerusalem, 10 Ramadhan 1435/8 July, 2014 (MINA) – Israeli occupation military intensified Monday morning restrict measures at the entrances of al-Aqsa mosque.

Local sources said that the Israeli police erected checkpoints at al-Aqsa entrances, prevented the worshipers from entering and seized their identity cards, ALRAY, Palestinian Media Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Dozens of settlers headed by Yehuda Glick stormed Sunday morning al-Aqsa courtyards under the protection of Israeli occupation police.

In recent months, groups of extremist Jewish settlers, often accompanied by Israeli security forces, have repeatedly forced their way into the Al-Aqsa complex. The frequent violations anger Palestinian Muslims and occasionally lead to violent confrontations.

For Muslims, Al-Aqsa represents the world’s third holiest site. Jews refer to the area as the “Temple Mount,” claiming it was the site of two prominent Jewish temples in ancient times. (T/P02/E01)
