Gaza, 23 Ramadan 1438/18 June 2-017 (MINA) – The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said the operation in Jerusalem against the Israeli forces earlier Friday signaled that the popular ‘intifada’ (uprising) would continue unabated.

“The combatant operation provides a new evidence that the Palestinian people will remain resolute in their revolution against the brutal occupying force,” KUNA reported, citing Hamas Spokesman Hazem Qasem in a press release.

The brutal killing of the three Palestinian youths, who carried out the operation out of the legitimate right to defend their homeland and sanctities, shows true face of the occupation forces who practice terrorism,” he said.

The spokesman criticized the Palestinian National Authority for persisting in negotiations and security coordination with the Israeli occupation forces in contradiction with the national consensus.

Earlier Saturday Palestinian medical sources said that three combatants – Baraa Saleh and Adel Ankoush, of Deir Abu Mashaal village, and Amer Badawi, of Al-Khalil (Hebron) city, were shot dead by the Israeli forces near Damascus Gate in occupied Jerusalem. (T/RS5/RS1)
