UK-BASED PALESTINIAN FORUM CALLS FOR ACTION ENDING GAZA SIEGE
London, 29 Ramadan 1436/16 July 2015 (MINA) – The Palestinian Forum in Britain has urged the Arab and Muslim worlds, and the international community to actively move to put an end to the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip and help its population to live in freedom and dignity.
In press remarks on Tuesday, Ziyad al-Aloul condemned the international silence on the Palestinians’ exposure to daily starvation, health neglect and violations by Israel and described it as a “crime”, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
“The Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is still suffering from the ravages of the blockade and the impacts of the Zionist aggression, which lasted for 51 days last year without breaking their will to obtain freedom and end the occupation,” Aloul stated.
“And the world still ignores the just demands of the Palestinian people and insists on participating in blockading and stifling them, and such behavior is against all heavenly and earthly laws,” he added.
He also stressed the need for serious moves by the official Arab authorities and the international community spearheaded by the UN to end Israel’s siege on Gaza and help the Palestinian people to get their rights fully.(T/P008/R03)
