The 1st World Conference on Creative Economy Will be Held in Bali

Jakarta, MINA – The Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold a World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) at the  Nusa Dua Convention Center,  November 6-8 2018.

This was stated by the Leader of the Creative Economy Agency, Triawan Munaf in a press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/25).Bali,

Bearing the theme “Inclusively Creative”, the conference will bettended  by 1,000 participants from within and outside the countries. This forum will discuss four main issues, namely social cohesion, regulation, marketing, ecosystems and creative industry financing.

Triawan Munaf said, the creative industry has formed a competitive business competition where everyone can take part in a developing economy.

“The Geography is also no longer a barrier, because the internet and other new technologies can allow people from all over the world to collaborate and work together,” Triawan Munaf said.

He hoped, WCCE can strengthen the position of the creative economy as a catalyst for communication and understanding that can be a bridge for economic and cultural relations, by providing equal opportunities for everyone regardless of age, gender, background and geographical location.

Meanwhile, Indonesian Deputy Foreign Minister AM. Fachir said, the involvement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the implementation of the WCCE was a form of concrete commitment in supporting Indonesian economic diplomacy.

The WCCE is a conference that brings together representatives from governments, entrepreneurs, think tanks, communities, international organizations, the media and experts in the creative economy.

The meeting is expected to open a network between global creative economy actors and produce various inputs to support the development of the creative economy as a locomotive for the global economy.(LT/R04/RS5)
