Palestine Seriously Establishes Trade Cooperation with Indonesia

Jakarta, MINA- The Ambassador of Palestine to Indonesia Zuhair Al-Shun state that Palestine is seriously and ready to establish trade cooperation with Indonesia.

“I have contacted three institutions, namely the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) and the Governor of Jakarta Mr. Anies Baswedan. They are ready to help us,” Zuhair said at a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday 23 July.

On that occasion, Zuhair was accompanied by several Palestinian Delegates, among them, officials from the Ministry of Commerce, Investment and Investment Agency, Ministry of Industry and the Palestinian Chamber of Commerce.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, represented by Muchamad Rizalu Akbar. He said Indonesia gives preference for zero percent import duty to two Palestinian products, namely dates and olives.

Rizalu said Indonesia-Palestine relations had been established for a long time, since the beginning of Indonesian independence. Palestinian merchants donated funds to help the Indonesian independence struggle. At present Palestine is colonized by Israel. Now is the time for the Government and the Indonesian People to help the Palestinian Nation in achieving economic independence and independence.
