OIC Chief Congratulates Islamic Ummah on Eve of Eid Al-Fitr
Jeddah, MINA – Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen extended his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the Islamic Ummah on the advent of the festive occasion of Eid al-Fitr 1439H, and prayed that Allah may accept and bless the fasting and acts of worship of all Muslims and grant them His blessings and rewards.
The secretary general also offered his congratulations to the OIC headquarter state, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented in person of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as well as the people of Saudi Arabia, UNA reported.
The secretary general prayed to God that welfare, security and stability may prevail in the Islamic world and that Muslims may enjoy prosperous and serene living.
The OIC chief expressed his hope and urged Muslims to hold on firmly to the teachings and values of their noble faith which enjoins upon us all to live in peaceful coexistence and to shun violence and extremism in all its forms and which prohibits hatred, terrorism or causing distress among other peaceful fellow humans.
Al-Othaimeen also emphasized the importance of this holy event of Eid al-Fitr as an opportune occasion for all people to rid themselves of any differences or disputes and put an end to violence and mutual killings that are causing so much woeful sufferings in many parts of the Islamic World.(R/R04/RS5)
