Myanmar Naval Ship Approaches Food Flotilla Vessel

Nautical Aliya to Myanmar, 10 Jumada Awwal 1438/7 February 2017 (MINA) – Humanitarian Ships carrying volunteers and aids Food Flotilla fo Myanmar (FFfM) on Tuesday (7/2) at 11:13 local time, approached by Myanmar naval ship shortly after they began to enter its waters.

“At 11:13 the captain stated that Myanmar Navy ship has been close up. All passengers were ordered to get into their rooms, “said journalist Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) Nurhadis who join the FFfM.

For make it sure, Nurhadis stepped down to the deck of the ship to take closer shots.

The captain then gave the command to all the volunteers to go back to their cabins in accordance as a standard operating procedures.

Nurhadis also revealed that captain asked all volunteers and crews not not provoke Myanmar navy as they are not prevent the ship to give humanitarian aids.

Food Flotilla for Myanmar is a humanitarian program for oppressed Rohingya Muslims is initiated by MAPIM and Kelab Putra 1 Malaysia, in collaboration with 31 NGOs from 11 countries made up of activists, health professionals, journalists, security, and the crew.

The mission is sailing through the Andaman Sea to travel back and forth voyage for approximately 20 days carrying 2,300 tonnes of aid such as rice, instant noodles, ready meals, toiletries, clothing, as well as blankets to be given to tens and even hundreds of thousands of Rohingya refugees in Sitwee and Teknaf on the border of Bangladesh.
