Jakarta, 30 Dzulhijjah 1435/24 October 2014 (MINA) – The Chief of Hisab and Ru’yat Council (DHR) Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) Nikun Priyono, Friday evening decided 1 Muharam 1436 on Saturday, October 25.

The decision was based on rukyat and hisab information from various regions in the world.

According to him, the crescent had not seen so it was fulfilled into 30 days.

Hisab and Ru’yat Council  consistently giving decision to the beginning of hijriyah months, mainly the new months of Ramadan and syawwal.

Muslims need accurate information to the beginning and the ending of months to do religious pray mainly in fasting and Hajj month.

DHR team scattered in various countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Gaza, Palestine).

Meanwhile, Indonesian ulema assembly (MUI) will commemorate 1 Muharram 1436 in Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) on Sunday.

In the commemoration, MUI coordinates with some social organizations and Islamic education institutions.
