ISRAELI FORCES DETAIN THREE PALESTINIANS IN NABLUS DISTRICT

Nablus, 29 Rabi’ul Akhir 1436/19 February 2015 (MINA) –  Israeli troops stormed three Palestinian villages in Nablus district in the northern West Bank at dawn Wednesday and apprehended three Palestinian men, local sources and officials told Ma’an.

Head of the village council of Qabalan south of Nablus Hisham al-Azaar told Ma’an that Israeli soldiers stormed the village and ransacked the home of 41-year-old Rabah Fawzi Nimir. The soldiers, he said, damaged parts of the interior of the house during inspection before they took Nimir into custody.

Meanwhile, locals in the village of Awarta told Ma’an that Israeli troops raided the village and detained 33-year-old school teacher Musallam Khalid al-Qadi after ransacking his home, Ma’an News Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Similarly, Israeli forces raided the village of Huwwara south of Nablus and arrested 32-year-old Akram Adnan Haniyeh from his home.

Israeli forces also arrested five young Palestinian men on Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning in the Hebron area villages of Beit Kahil, Bani Naim and Dura.

A statement from the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society identified the detainees as Layth Rasmi Muhammad Asafra and Muhammad Azzam Asafra from Beit Kahil in addition to Salim Mahmoud Tarayra, a security officer from Bani Naim and Osama Muhammad Rajoub from Dura.

The statement added that Israeli forces arrested Salih Bassam Salih after he and his father arrived at Gush Etzion interrogation center in compliance with a summons they received from Israeli intelligence.
