IOF BREAK INTO MAKASSED HOSPITAL, JERUSALEM

Al-Quds, 14 Muharram 1437/27 October 2015 (MINA) – Israeli Occupation Forces soldiers stormed into Makassed Hospital this Tuesday morning in occupied Jerusalem looking into patients files.

Dr. Ali Al-Husseini, head of the union workers in Makassed Hospital, said that more than forty IOF soldiers stormed the hospital building in search of outpatient medical files, Palestine News Network (PNN) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Husseini stated that a confront between the Hospital’s guards and the IOF soldiers happened in the moment of the first intrusion.

Fortunately, none of the patients were arrested and none of the medical files were taken.

Meanwhile, The Palestinian health ministry has reiterated its appeal to the unity government to take urgent and serious steps to address the acute shortage of medical supplies at Gaza hospitals and medical centers.

Head of the ministry’s pharmacy unit Munir Al-Barsh told a news conference held in Gaza on Monday that the crisis of insufficient medicines and medical consumables has escalated since the beginning of the current year and adversely affected the health services provided in Gaza.(T/P008/R04)
