INDONESIA SUCCEEDS IN GOOGLE EDUCATIONAL SYMPOSIUM

Jakarta, 30 Muharram 1437/12 November 2015 (MINA) – Indonesian delegation has succeeded become the real example of education system in the Google Education Symposium (GES) which held at Google Campus, Mountain View, California, USA 9 to 11 November.

“In the symposium, Many participants were very care to Indonesia because of their actively in the meeting. We delievered progress, problems and solutions of education learning process in our country,” said the staff of Education Minister Innovation and Competitiveness department, Ananto Kusuma Seta PhD, Antaranews quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Indonesia got very big attention attention in the field of  the Teacher Competency Test (UKG).

“They (participants) were very surprised when we said UKG was followed by  more than three million teachers,  2.5 million of them are in networking system, while 500,000 others are paper-based system,” said Kusuma Ananto.

A number of countries, such as South Africa was interested in the system and they want to learn UKG because the country had never previously held the program like UKG.

“The key to success in education system lies on the teacher. Other countries will begin the program, we have been going on.

The meeting was followed by 90 delegates from 22 countries and representatives of various international educational institutions.

GES aims to discuss how to achieve the goals of education through  media tecnology.(TL/P008/R03)
