Indonesia, Malaysia Hold B2B Meeting in Jakarta

Jakarta, MINA – International Islamic Marketing and Trade Council (DPPIA) or also known as World Islamic Marketing and Trade Chamber (WIMTC), in collaboration with Geo Artha and MINA News Agency held a Malaysia-Indonesia B2B (Business to Business) Meeting attended by private sector representatives from both countries.

Deputy President of DPPIA-WIMTC Zuraini binti Hasanuddin explained that this meeting aims to create opportunities to establish relationships and enhance trade partnerships and promote Malaysia’s flagship halal products to Indonesian market.

“We are delighted and look forward to working with partners in Indonesia, taking into account the enormous market potential of Islamic trade in Malaysia and Indonesia,” said Zurraini representing DPPIA President Zuber Bin Bakri while opening the Business and Matching Trade Mission for Malaysian and Indonesian halal products at Sofyan Hotel, Jakarta on Wednesday, July 3.

“There are still many things to explore and motivate us to ensure that superior halal products from Malaysia can more enter Indonesian market,” he added.

This program was launched by Head of BPJPH Prof. Ir. Sukoso, trade commissioner of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Har Man Ahmad, DKI Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and DPPIA management.

The meeting was also attended by 60 participants consisting of government officials, business leaders, importers, traders and company owners, who emphasized the concern for development of halal industry and trade between Malaysia and Indonesia.

Meanwhile, MATRADE Trade Commissioner, Har Man said that halal industry in Indonesia considered very potential.

So that the interest of Malaysian producers of halal products to expand d†marketing to Indonesia is very large.

“Malaysian government focuses mainly on expanding trade (ummah halal products) to the Asian market. Not to trade alone but to help advance Indonesia’s trade, “he said.

DPPIA-WIMTC is an NGO that specializes in marketing and international trade with focus on fighting for and expanding Malaysian Halal industry and other Muslim countries to the world market.

DPPIA Malaysia itself has marketed and promoted superior halal products from Muslim entrepreneurs in Malaysia and other countries internationally entering the European, Canadian and Korean markets. (TL/Sj/P2)
