Tangerang, 18 Sya’ban 1438/15 May 2017 (MINA) – The development team of the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) on Monday left Indonesia to Myanmar to conduct a land survey for the construction of Indonesia Hospital.

The team consisting of the Chairman of the Construction team of RS Indonesia Ichsan Thalib, Faried Thalib of the MER-C Presidium and land expert Idrus Alatas, flew from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten Province at 11:00 pm.
Idrus said the team will clarify a few things that will be explained later to the Minister of Health of Myanmar on the general picture of the hospital to be built by the MER-C with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI).
“We will ensure the design details that we make, we adjust them with local wisdom. Like a foundation with no soil data, so we have to study it and decide. We will decide right away,” Idrus told MINA reporter at the airport.
He revealed, the construction will take place in two stages. In this first visit the team will ensure the infrastructure, such as foundation, the elevation of the existing land and others.

“Because it is on the edge of the river, the surface of the land must be raised. Immediately we decide who will do the job,” he said. “This week we will work effectively. Networks we can get there. We’ll use a local contractor, we just manage it. ”
Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi has appointed Salman Al-Farisi, an expert staff of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Institutional Affairs to become chairman of the liaison of all humanitarian agencies who want to assist in the achievement of this mission.
The planned Indonesian hospital will be built on a plot of land covering 4,000 square meters in the village of Myaung Twe, Mra-U, just on the edge of a river in Rakhine. (L/R04/RS5)
