Hamas to Increase Resistance in Gaza-Israel Border

Gaza, MINA – Hamas, Palestinian resistance groups were reported to have issued a direct threat to escalate resistance along the Gaza-Israel border. It will be done if Israel blocks the entry of cash aid from Qatar and fails to increase the electricity supply.

Hamas threat was reported by the Lebanese newspaper, Al-Akhbar, on Tuesday, August 20.

“The factions have given the interlocutor a direct threat (to be forwarded to Israel). If the enemy does not apply to understand, allow the entry of Qatari funds and increase electricity supply this weekend, they will move to increase the escalation in the field, “a Hamas source was quoted by Al-Akhbar and reported the Times of Israel.

It is not clear why Hamas is demanding that Israel allow Qatari funds to enter Gaza. Nevertheless, this threat has made the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu draw criticism.

The Blue and White Party is one of the critics. “This is the form of blackmail. For anyone who still doesn’t understand; our prevention is not eroded, it collapses … In the new White and Blue cabinet, we will set an agenda for Hamas and will not be a dollar supplier, “the party said in a statement.

On Thursday, Qatari envoy Mohammed Al-Emadi is scheduled to arrive in Gaza. He will oversee the disbursement of funds amounting to $25 million in $ 100 bills. The money will be given to families in need.

So far, Israel has allowed Qatar to provide financial assistance regularly to Gaza. The aim is to stabilize the region and prevent the humanitarian crisis from worsening there.
