EU- Norway to Hold Meeting For Palestine Donor Soon

Brussels, MINA – The European Union (EU) and Norway have decided to convene an extraordinary session of the international donor group for Palestine at the end of the current month.

This came in a press release issued by the office of EU’s high representative Federica Mogherini, PIC reported.

Mogherini agreed with Norway’s foreign minister Ine Eriksen Søreide to hold the meeting at the ministerial level in Brussels on January 31, 2018, according to her office.

“There is an urgent need to bring all parties together to discuss measures to speed up efforts that can underpin a negotiated two-state solution,” the office stated.

“Furthermore it is necessary to enable the Palestinian Authority to execute full control over Gaza, based on the Cairo agreement from 12 October 2017,” it added.(R/R04/RS5)
